Car Servicing, MOTs & Campervan Conversions in Duns

Duns' Family-Run Garage Since 1974

Mill Garage (Duns) Ltd was founded by Jimmy Horne, a local mechanic who purchased a plot of land in Duns, Berwickshire back in 1974 — starting out with little more than an old wooden shed and a reputation built on honesty, affordability and excellent workmanship.

Jimmy's sons joined the business in the mid-1980s, turning it into a true family garage — one focused on bodyshop repairs, the other on mechanical work. In the late 1990s, spotting a gap in the market, Jimmy hired a local craftsman to begin building bespoke campervan conversions, a service that's grown into a cornerstone of the business.

Today, the third generation of the Horne family has joined Mill Garage — still offering the same personal service, family feel and attention to detail that's kept customers coming back to our Duns workshop for decades.
